About NeuroKind
NeuroKind began as my personal journey of empathy and creativity. I’m Sanskriti, a high-school senior from San Jose, California, and for the past four years I’ve mentored and taught neurodivergent children, learning how patience, play, and design can transform communication.
It all started with Mia, a bright, nonverbal student whose love for volleyball showed me that connection doesn’t always need words; sometimes it’s a movement, a rhythm, or a shared smile. At Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN), I adapted lessons using textured sensor balls and 3D-printed emotion toys, helping students build confidence and teamwork through sensory play.
Inspired by these experiences, I began designing creative learning tools ; from play-based vocabulary games like Sun-Daes to a mind-mapping platform that turns complex ideas into visual connections. Now, NeuroKind is expanding into assistive technology, with a wearable device that helps students with ADHD and Autism manage focus and daily routines through adaptive AI.
Beyond design, my love for art and dance inspires how I approach learning with creativity, rhythm, and care.
At its heart, NeuroKind stands for kindness in learning: creating spaces where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are ; one story, one smile, and one design at a time.
